Claude Helps Mathematicians Propose New Technique, Raising Riemann Zeta Zeroes Bound to 67.2%

Anthropic previously revealed that they tasked an unreleased research version of Claude with tackling the Riemann hypothesis, one of the Millennium Prize Problems. While the model didn't solve it completely, it made significant strides on a related problem by increasing the lower bound for the fraction of Riemann zeta function zeroes satisfying the hypothesis from 41.6% to 67.2%.

Following this, researchers developed a new technique inspired by the model's output, successfully placing more zeta zeroes on the critical line.
