finger-read: Control Web Reading via Webcam Gestures
sophiamyang · x · 2026-08-10
Developer Sophia Yang has released the open-source project 'finger-read', allowing users to keep reading on their computers without touching them. The tool uses a webcam to monitor hand movements, enabling page control through three simple poses: pointing an index finger or holding a thumbs-down to scroll and pan, waving an open palm to turn pages, and pinching to zoom in and out.
