Open-source anti-hallucination CLI tool prevents AI citation fabrication
New_Guitar_9121 · reddit · 2026-08-10
A local-first CLI tool that prevents AI models from fabricating citations through a unique verification mechanism. The model only sees citation numbers, not document IDs, preventing forgery. After generating an answer, the system maps numbers back to files and verifies citations sentence by sentence. Sentences without citations are marked as 'UNSUPPORTED'. Additionally, the tool supports hash verification to ensure cited sources haven't been altered.
