AI Model Architecture is an Aesthetic Choice Obscured by Frontier Models

The author suggests a philosophical view: while most AI research aims at maximum efficiency, model architecture and supervision are also aesthetic choices that can carry meaning. This architectural aesthetic is largely obscured by large frontier models, which try to convince users to simply prompt their way through everything rather than appreciating the underlying design.
