Stop Offering Free Trials: Solve Real Problems Instead

Independent developers often receive numerous requests for free product trials, but the real reason to decline is the high cost of time. For developers, time, attention, and energy are precious; if a product doesn't solve an actual pain point, "free" is still too expensive.

This logic applies equally to users: free credits and discounts cannot artificially create demand. The core job of a developer isn't to lower the price, but to accurately identify a genuine need and solve it so well that users willingly pay.
