Developer Releases LlamaPort: A macOS GUI Client for llama-server
Current-Quail-2503 · reddit · 2026-08-09
A developer built LlamaPort, a macOS GUI client for managing llama-server, out of frustration with repetitive CLI commands and failing curl downloads.
- Model Management: Automatically reads local GGUF headers for quantization and context length, showing the exact command before execution.
- Monitoring & Testing: Offers real-time stats for KV cache, tokens/s, and memory pressure, plus a test button to verify server health and chat capabilities.
- Downloader: Supports multi-segment downloads from Hugging Face with resume capability, SHA256 verification, and queuing.
- Limitations: macOS only, requires a separate llama-server installation, and is currently unsigned.
