Claude Code Introduces Cross-Session Messaging for Multi-Agent Collaboration
xiaohu · x · 2026-08-08
Claude Code has introduced a new cross-session messaging feature, allowing different session windows to communicate with each other. When users handle multiple tasks in parallel, multiple AI agents can automatically coordinate and share updates.
The feature supports collaboration across Git Worktrees, enabling multiple Claude instances working on different branches of the same project to communicate. To keep things lightweight, only plain text summaries or answers are transferred, without sharing full chat histories or large files.
