Nous Research has released Hermes Agent, an open-source (MIT license) desktop agent framework. Designed as an agent that "grows with you," it features:
- Universal Connectivity: Connects to Telegram, Discord, Slack, WhatsApp, Signal, Email, and CLI, maintaining a single memory across all surfaces.
- Persistent Memory & Automation: Learns your projects, auto-generates skills, and supports natural-language scheduling for unattended tasks.
- Subagents & Sandboxing: Delegates tasks to isolated subagents for zero-context-cost pipelines, utilizing five sandbox backends including Docker and SSH.
It also includes built-in capabilities for web browsing, vision, image generation, and multi-model reasoning.
