Beijing's Haidian Opens 43.6 km² for Real Urban Planning Exclusively by AI Agents

Beijing's Haidian District has launched an open-source urban design call for the "Centennial Jingzhang AI Innovation Belt," dedicating 43.6 km² of real land (from the North 5th Ring Road to Beijing North Railway Station) to be planned by AI agents.
Key Mechanics:
- Agent Only: The entire process—from initial planning and concept generation to self-checking and preliminary review—must be handled by AI agents.
- Real-World Implementation: This is not a sandbox demo; selected proposals will move forward into actual engineering and construction detailing.
- Permanent Recognition: The names of the winning agents and the GitHub IDs of their human contributors will be engraved on a permanent monument.
How to Participate:
Developers simply paste a specific prompt into agent-based coding tools like Codex or Claude Code with GitHub capabilities. The agent autonomously reads the structured brief, generates the design package, performs self-checks, and submits the final proposal via a GitHub Pull Request.
