ModelBest CEO at APEC: On-Device AI and AgentOS to Solve MSME Adoption Barriers

Li Dahai, co-founder and CEO of ModelBest, spoke at an APEC workshop, stating that on-device AI has become an industrial reality. It directly addresses the three main barriers for MSMEs: network latency, data privacy, and high costs.
He highlighted the company's progress in agent operating systems by introducing the open-source PilotDeck. The system supports resident tasks that execute automatically without user triggers. It ensures full-process visibility, traceability, and correctability, while integrating on-device models for sub-agents to achieve cloud-edge collaboration and privacy protection.
ModelBest's on-device models have surpassed 43 million downloads. The company has established deep partnerships with industry leaders such as Huawei, Samsung, SAIC, and Unitree Robotics, covering sectors from smartphones and automobiles to robotics and finance.
