While reading Mathematical Foundations of Deep Learning, a reader complained that the AI/ML field constantly "reinvents the wheel" with basic statistical concepts. For instance, relabeling parameters as "weights" and the intercept as "bias," or renaming the famous econometrics estimator, seems quite unnecessary and confusing for learners.
