Open-Source MiniMax H3 Helps User Overcome Paywalls and Depression
Neither_Egg_4773 · reddit · 2026-08-07
A Reddit user posted a heartfelt thank you to the open-source community, stating that the open-source MiniMax H3 video model helped them through a severe depressive episode.
The user shared that video creation was their only coping mechanism, but relying on paid tools like Seedance 2.0 became too expensive. Hitting paywalls and running out of credits mid-flow added stress and anxiety.
The open-source release of MiniMax H3 removed this financial barrier. Having unrestricted, free access to such a capable tool gave them their creative spark back, making a tangible positive impact on their mental health.
