OpenAI Safety Lead Addresses System Card Format Change and Deployment Hub Outage

OpenAI's head of safety transparency responded to recent concerns regarding the GPT-5.6 system card. He confirmed that the company is currently experiencing an outage with a third-party service that the Deployment Safety Hub depends on, and the team is working to resolve the bug so the system card can be added back.
Regarding the formatting change, he clarified that the updated PDF template was introduced with the initial launch of GPT-5.6 to make the cards easier to read and navigate, emphasizing that the underlying generation process remains the same.
