Opinion: Future Cyber Attack Vectors Will Exclusively Target Human Vulnerabilities
scaling01 · x · 2026-08-07
The author argues that as AI progresses, future attack vectors will almost exclusively target humans, who are becoming the weakest link in the security chain.
While frontier labs will do a decent job protecting the most important codebases of critical infrastructure from direct attacks, humans will be caught off guard by the pace of progress. They will:
- Blindly merge malicious PRs
- Click on phishing emails they shouldn't
- Give out sensitive information
Consequently, we will need AI tools specifically designed to protect humans from these exploits.
