Sono to Add Watermarks to AI-Generated Music for Industry Compliance

Facing an influx of AI content on streaming platforms, AI music generation giant Suno announced it will introduce watermarks and policy changes to go legit.
In a blog post, Suno CEO Mikey Shulman stated that this move is to meet emerging industry standards for labeling AI content. Soon, Suno will add watermarks to all audio outputs from its models, allowing platforms to mark the content as AI-generated or block it entirely. However, Shulman did not specify whether Suno would use an in-house solution or a ready-made one like Google's recently licensed SynthID.
