Cloudflare Launches AI Search: An Automated Data Search Engine for Agents
dinasaur_404 · x · 2026-08-07
Cloudflare announced a major upgrade to its AI Search service, designed to give AI Agents their own dedicated search engine for data. Previously, developers had to manually stitch together underlying components like Workers AI, AI Gateway, and Vectorize, but AI Search can now automate these integrations.
The new version supports indexing structured and unstructured data ranging from individual files to entire websites. It allows websites to be parsed without a sitemap and generates a single public /search and /mcp endpoint for easy cross-source searching. Additionally, Cloudflare previewed a new predictable pricing model where embedding and reranking are completely free when using default models.
