AI Sweeps Five STEM Olympiads with Perfect Physics Scores
shuchaobi · x · 2026-08-06
An AI team entered their models in five international STEM Olympiad competitions this year, achieving remarkable results:
- Physics: Perfect scores on theory exams and gold medals in both APhO and IPhO.
- Mathematics: Gold medal at IMO (top 4% of human participants) and gold-medal level performance at RMM.
- Chemistry: Gold-medal level performance at IChO.
Three of these were live competitions graded by official judges. Technically, the team used internally trained versions from the Muse Spark family with zero tool use (no search, code interpreter, or calculator), relying on multi-agent orchestration with parallel reasoning.
