Google Search Console Mixes AI Conversational Queries into Standard Reports, Frustrating SEOs
lilyraynyc · x · 2026-08-06
SEO expert Lily Ray noted that while Google's documentation mentions data lumping, seeing conversational queries like "yes go on" or "yes, pricing" directly in standard Google Search Console (GSC) reports still feels jarring.
Currently, Google does not provide specific query data in its generative AI performance reports. This forces SEO professionals to guess AI Mode traffic by spotting conversational long-tail keywords in the main report. The industry is calling for dedicated AI query reporting for better transparency.
