RLM Hype Questioned: Repo Clone Reveals It's Not True Recursive Language Modeling

In response to the recent hype around Recursive Language Models (RLM), a developer cloned the repository and conducted an in-depth analysis, suggesting that the claimed RLM features may be exaggerated or false. The analysis argues that while the RLM concept is interesting, it is not difficult in practice, as it can be implemented by making subagents callable as functions and wrapping them in a code execution tool. RLMs have not yet been productionized and remain in the research stage.
