Google DeepMind is undergoing a major leadership transition. Demis Hassabis will move into the role of Chief Scientist of Alphabet and Chair of Google DeepMind, while Koray Kavukcuoglu will succeed him to lead Google DeepMind into its next chapter.
Expressing gratitude to Sundar Pichai, Koray emphasized that the team will double down on Gemini models, frontier AI research, and product development.
