Google DeepMind has announced a leadership transition. Koray Kavukcuoglu is stepping up to lead the division, while Demis Hassabis transitions to the role of Chief Scientist of Alphabet and Chair of Google DeepMind.
Expressing gratitude to Sundar Pichai, Koray highlighted this as a pivotal moment for the team. He emphasized that the company will continue to double down on its Gemini models, frontier AI research, and building products for users and partners.
