Prime Agent Open-Sourced: Beats Human Experts on ARC-AGI-3
ResearchCrafty1804 · reddit · 2026-08-06
PrimeIntellect has open-sourced Prime Agent, a coding and research agent designed for general and long-running autonomous tasks. The self-improving framework emphasizes token efficiency and expressiveness through programmatic tool calling, context-as-a-variable, multi-agent messaging, and self-modifiable harness states.
According to the team, Prime Agent scores 95.5% on the ARC-AGI-3 benchmark, surpassing the human-expert baseline. They note that this performance gain is not benchmark-specific, as major improvements are seen across various models when compared to their proprietary harnesses.
Built on pi, the fully open-source project is now available on GitHub.
