SemiAnalysis Founder Targets $400M Fund to Pivot from Research to VC

Dylan Patel, founder of prominent semiconductor and AI research firm SemiAnalysis, is launching a $400 million venture fund called SemiAnalysis Capital Fund One.
- Investments: Patel already holds stakes in roughly 20 startups, including Mira Murati's new venture, Thinking Machines.
- Finances: He previously raised a $50M SPV for Fluidstack's $700M round. SemiAnalysis itself is on track for over $100M in revenue this year (up from $20M last year) and has about 90 employees.
- Shift: This marks the first time the founder-led firm, which has never taken outside investment, is moving into managing external capital.
