Turing Award winner Yann LeCun announced the launch of 224 Ventures, a new venture capital firm co-founded with Shaun Johnson and Oriol Vinyals. The firm will focus on early-stage AI startups with a deeply technical investment approach.
LeCun noted that his main gigs at AMI (Advanced Machine Intelligence) and the NYU Courant Institute remain his primary focus, but this new firm connects him deeply with the AI startup ecosystem through a network of founders and LPs.
