Developer Questions the Point of Code Review Bots in the Age of AI Agents

Developer Matt Rickard took to X to question the utility of dedicated code review bots now that capable AI agents exist.
He argues that developers can simply run code reviews using their own customized agents and post the results directly to the PR if needed. He finds it puzzling why specialized review bots are still considered necessary.
