Sapiom Raises $35M Series A to Tackle AI Agent Costs with Smart Routing

kleffew94 · x · 2026-08-06

AI agent infrastructure platform Sapiom announced a $35 million Series A funding round led by investors including Dragonfly, Accel, and Anthropic. The company stated that the funds will primarily be used to address the high costs associated with running agents.

To achieve this, Sapiom launched three new products, centering around an OpenAI-compatible router. This router automatically selects the most efficient model for each API call based on task shape, context size, cost, and latency requirements, significantly reducing agent operating costs for developers.
