Report: Massive Shakeup at Google AI as Jeff Dean and Others Leave for Startup

According to a recent post, Google's AI team is experiencing a massive shakeup. The legendary duo Jeff Dean and Sanjay Ghemawat, along with Oriol Vinyals and Quoc Le, have split off to launch a new startup named "Discovery Loop".
Simultaneously, Demis Hassabis has reportedly stepped down from his managerial role as CEO of DeepMind for a new title as Chief Scientist of Alphabet. He remains the founder/CEO of the drug discovery spinoff Isomorphic Labs, to which he will now dedicate more time. (Note: This is an unverified online report)
