According to reports, Jeff Dean, a key figure in Google's AI division, is leaving the company after 27 years to launch a new Public Benefit Corporation (PBC) named "Discovery Loop."
The startup boasts a high-profile founding team including Sanjay Ghemawat, Quoc Le, and Oriol Vinyals. Its mission is to automate the experimental loop across machine learning, science, and engineering to accelerate discoveries. Google is reportedly providing investment and compute resources to support the venture.
