Building a macOS Bluetooth RSSI Finder with Claude in Minutes

sujingshen · x · 2026-08-05

Developer Ben shared a practical AI × Hardware case: when a phone was restricted by MDM (Mobile Device Management) and "Find My" was unavailable, he used Claude to code a macOS Bluetooth RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator) finder tool in just a few minutes.

The tool works by following the real-time enhanced Bluetooth signal to locate nearby devices. This showcases a new capability paradigm brought by AI programming: users can quickly build customized tools on the fly to solve real-world problems. The project has been included in the "Awesome AI Hardware" open-source repository.
