Anydoc: Blazing-Fast Local Document Parsing for AI Agents

Y Combinator President Garry Tan shared the open-source tool Anydoc, emphasizing the philosophy of "building things agents want." Anydoc is a Rust-based local parser designed for AI agents, supporting 13 major formats including PDF, DOCX, and PPTX.
Its core strengths are extreme speed and parsing quality: it converts documents to Markdown in under 5ms and processes 500 DOCX files in just 1.7 seconds. It is already integrated into the popular web scraper Firecrawl for its /parse functionality.
