NVIDIA is pushing into the CPU market long dominated by Intel and AMD. The company claims its Arm-based CPU performs routine storage system tasks—such as encrypting, checksumming, compressing, and rebuilding—up to 3.67x faster than traditional x86 chips.

Data must be locked, compressed, and checked before landing on a drive. NVIDIA's new CPU handles these preprocessing steps significantly faster, further strengthening its competitive edge in the data center infrastructure ecosystem.
