Omakase Robotics Launches D1 Humanoid for Japanese Hospitals

Omakase Robotics has launched its first humanoid robot, the D1, designed specifically for Japanese indoor environments like hospitals.
- Applications: It assists nurses with prep work, meal service, specimen transport, and night patrols. It also handles picking in logistics, basic organization in factories, and multilingual reception in hotels.
- Specs: Human-friendly design with a height adjustment of 129–159 cm. It weighs 110 kg, has a single-arm payload of 5 kg, a top speed of 1.2 m/s, and an 8-hour runtime.
- Plans: The company plans to produce 100 units this fiscal year, targeting 10,000 cumulative operating hours in labor-shortage sites. Previously, their G1 robot (partnered with Unitree) completed a PoC at the University of Tsukuba Hospital.
