eidoverse-worlds: Open-Source Persistent 3D World Where Humans and AIs Co-Exist
repligate · x · 2026-08-05
anima-research has released eidoverse-worlds, an open-source platform for shared, persistent 3D worlds inhabited by both humans and AI agents. Humans navigate fluently via browser, while agents inhabit the world at a conversational cadence through the same protocol.
Built upon the eidoverse-video toolkit, which supplies procedural creatures, terrain, and an agent-intent-shaped creative API. This repository adds the missing networking, persistence, and multi-participant authority layers.
The architecture features two planes: an append-only world log for state consistency and a lossy presence layer for real-time interactions. Worlds persist and accumulate, largely built by their residents through conversation.
