Murthy Lab and Sascha Goonewardena’s group at the University of Michigan are hiring five onsite roles in Ann Arbor for a cardiovascular AI and multi-omics program.
- Research track: a postdoctoral fellow focused on multi-omics and causal inference, including biobank-scale analyses, Mendelian randomization, mediation analysis, and first-author papers.
- Computational track: two senior data scientist roles, one for AI + ECG foundation models using transformer/self-supervised methods in PyTorch, and one for multi-omics + population cohorts with pipeline building and cross-cohort harmonization.
- Operations track: a clinical research coordinator to handle IRB, recruitment, study visits, and REDCap workflows, plus a proteomics/biospecimen specialist to run the biospecimen pipeline and assay coordination.
The program studies coronary microvascular disease and cardiometabolic risk using cardiac PET, proteomics/metabolomics, and machine learning.
