The author shares hardware durability issues encountered during long-term robot deployments. When a policy controls the gripper to grab inflexible objects, the tips made of PLA-CF material are prone to deformation.
To solve this, they are trying to switch to nylon, but since nylon is tricky to 3D print well, they are also re-testing TPU grippers.
