Lambda Surgical Raises $6.5M to Build World Models for the Human Body

Startups Sir Medtech and Lambda Surgical have raised $6.5 million, co-led by SPC and Long Journey VC.
The author points out that while billions are being poured into general "world models," the industry is ignoring a critical bottleneck: the outcome of 300 million annual surgeries still heavily depends on the physical hands holding the instruments. The company aims to build a world model for the inside of the human body to assist and enhance surgical precision.
