Developer @NumanThabit proposed an counterintuitive approach to solving humanoid robotics challenges: the plantar sole.
He suggests that instead of solely relying on complex vision algorithms and whole-body dynamics, giving robots rich tactile perception and feedback similar to the human sole might be the key breakthrough for balance and locomotion in humanoid robots.
