Cloudflare Kicks Off Second Agents Week: Projecting Million-CPU Demand

Cloudflare has launched its second Agents Week of the year. Unlike the first event, which featured over 50 product announcements, this iteration opened without any product launches, focusing instead on the deeper needs of the agent ecosystem.
The analysis highlights Cloudflare's previous argument: if 100 million US knowledge workers each run an agentic assistant at 15% concurrency, it would require between 500,000 and one million server CPUs. Traditional container architectures (one instance serving many users) cannot handle agentic workloads (one instance per task), positioning Cloudflare Workers' isolate-based model as the ideal infrastructure solution.
