Connected steps are not a workflow: nobody designs the handoff
usehive · reddit · 2026-10-16
The author argues that connecting steps is not the same as a real multi-app workflow: between step one and step two the world changes — state goes stale, permissions differ per app, and nobody confirms the handoff. Real workflows need all of this designed, not assumed. They invite discussion on which two-tool handoff you'd least trust an agent with.
