Alibaba Releases 2.4T Parameter Qwen3.8-Max, Open Weights Next Week

Alibaba's Qwen team has officially released its most capable model to date, Qwen3.8-Max, setting a new benchmark for coding and cowork at 2.4 trillion parameters.
Alongside the release, the team announced that open weights for both Qwen3.8-Max and the 27B version will be available next week. The new model demonstrates robust autonomous coding and long-horizon planning capabilities, including self-evolving development for over 10 days and closed-loop adaptive learning across hundreds of turns in complex tasks like chip design and e-commerce strategy.
