Alibaba officially announced its most capable model to date, Qwen3.8-Max, featuring 2.4 trillion parameters and setting a new standard for autonomous coding and coworking. The open weights for both Qwen3.8-Max and a 27B version are slated for release next week.
In the latest Text Arena LLM leaderboard, Qwen3.8-Max ranks second, closely trailing Anthropic's Claude Fable 5, and surpassing flagship models from Meta, Google, Moonshot, and OpenAI.
