Developer @blendiremade has open-sourced a Chrome extension called 3D Web on GitHub, leveraging fal.ai to transform any static image on the web into an interactive 3D model.
Key Features & Experience:
- One-Click Conversion: Right-click any image on a webpage and select "Transform to 3D" to replace it with a 3D view.
- Museum-Grade Immersion: In fullscreen mode, the extension uses Three.js to build a virtual gallery complete with a 7-light museum rig (warm key light, cool fill, rim light), soft shadows, and a cinematic reveal.
- Users can rotate, zoom, and explore the generated 3D objects seamlessly.
