Cloudflare Kicks Off Agents Week: Building a Cloud Native for AI Agents
ritakozlov · x · 2026-08-03
Cloudflare has launched Agents Week, focusing on building cloud infrastructure tailored for the era of AI agents.
The company notes that today's cloud and underlying web were built for humans, assuming a person is interacting with the UI. Agents, however, don't get distracted and have distinct needs regarding speed, structure, and access. A true "Agent Cloud" must serve a dual purpose:
- Future-proofing: Building agent-native primitives from the ground up rather than retrofitting human tools.
- Bridging the present: Acting as a translation layer between the human-shaped web and the emerging agent-shaped web.
Throughout the week, Cloudflare will announce updates covering execution primitives, the agentic software development lifecycle (SDLC), and how enterprises can securely manage interactions between employees and agents.
