16-year-old developer Aarav announced on Hacker News the release of Sprocket, an open-source AI agent that claims to outperform all other agents in both hardware and software development. Sprocket can autonomously purchase items from any website (from hardware parts to SaaS subscriptions) and retrieves best-in-class web context for reliability. Its quality, performance, and UI rival Codex/Cursor/T3Code. For hardware design, Sprocket can generate schematics in React, create BOMs, and detailed assembly instructions. Benchmarks are coming soon.
