Multiple sources indicate that Alibaba's Qwen large language model is undergoing deep testing within Tesla China's in-car systems and is slated for an imminent official rollout. The model has reportedly completed extensive integration testing in real-world vehicle environments.
Qwen is designed to act as an active digital agent capable of complex logic, connecting with external tools to execute multi-step tasks. Tesla China had previously integrated ByteDance's Doubao model in its 2026.14.13 software update for intelligent voice assistance.
