Disney has officially announced the selected companies for its 2026 Accelerator program. This year's cohort focuses on three significant frontiers: robotics, generative AI, and data synthesis.
The five growth-stage companies chosen include:
- FieldAI: Builds foundation models enabling robots to operate safely in dynamic, uncertain environments without maps or GPS.
- Physical Intelligence (Pi): Develops general-purpose AI for the physical world, designing foundation models for robots to perform a wide range of tasks without task-specific programming.
- Promise: An AI-native studio integrating GenAI into all stages of film and VFX production via its flagship OS, MUSE.
- OpenArt: Reimagines fan engagement with generative AI, allowing users to conversationally create characters and visual stories.
- Simile AI: (See official announcement for details).
