Google Demos Gemini Robotics: 20-Minute Uninterrupted Dual-Arm Tool Kitting
bousmalis · x · 2026-07-31
Google DeepMind researchers shared a new real-world demo of the Gemini Robotics model operating on the FR3 Duo dual-arm hardware. Over 20+ minutes of uninterrupted, real-time operation, the robot successfully performed precise tool kitting tasks.
The team actively tried to make the robot fail during the demo, but the model showcased impressive emergent recovery behaviors, achieving a whole new level of generalized dexterity and precision. The team noted it is the closest thing to a real live demo they have ever seen, with more demos dropping soon.
