Both OpenAI and Anthropic are massively scaling their Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) organizations, increasingly resembling Palantir's model. The author suspects these FDEs will not be constrained to just their own models, evolving into generalized consulting services that will drive their next step function in enterprise growth.
