NVIDIA Forms Open Secure AI Alliance to Promote Open Source Defenses
nvidia · x · 2026-07-31
NVIDIA and founding members have launched the Open Secure AI Alliance to build and share open tools that promote responsible AI use and trust.
Building on the Linux Foundation’s Akrites initiative and OpenSSF community work, the alliance will focus on remediating and disclosing vulnerabilities using open technologies.
The group argues that, much like open source did for software, AI security requires open models and harnesses. Open systems democratize defensive capabilities, increase transparency, and enable massively distributed, community-driven defense without a single point of failure.
