OpenAI's Dev Experience Lead @reachvb revealed that 40% of Codex use cases are actually generated by non-developers.

These requests typically involve non-programming tasks such as creating slide decks, generating spreadsheets, preparing cap tables, or conducting research. Based on this insight, OpenAI decided to integrate Codex's capabilities directly into ChatGPT, allowing the model to automatically figure out the necessary steps from natural language prompts.

Additionally, OpenAI announced API pricing updates: an 80% price reduction for GPT-5.6 Luna and a 20% reduction for GPT-5.6 Terra, along with a faster inference option for GPT-5.6 Sol.
